What is Vaser®?

Vaser® liposuction is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment designed to make discreet refinements in targeted areas of the body or major full-body improvements depending on the client’s needs. The treatment was designed for individuals who have struggled to lose weight and exercise, but without the results they’d hoped to achieve.

Vaser® liposuction is a precision body contouring treatment that requires little downtime to produce dramatic transformations. By heating the layer of fatty tissue just beneath the skin, other tissues are left undamaged while Vaser® technologies can be used to works to enhance the shapeliness of target areas. Though Vaser® liposuction can create eye-catching results* in just one session, it is gentle enough to be used to treat areas such as the neck and arms. Patients can expect to see smooth, precise contouring on the areas targeted with Vaser® liposuction.

Vaser® Liposuction Surgery

Vaser® liposuction can be used to remove larger amounts of fatty deposits in the body, though some patients may use the procedure merely to create a more toned and refined appearance to the musculature of the body. Surgical treatment typically lasts between one to several hours depending on the location and amount of fat being removed from the body.

Patients are first prepared for surgery and then a tumescent solution is injected into the targeted area or areas of the body. The solution causes fat cells to swell, making them more accessible for removal. Then, a small probe is inserted through a tiny injection into the site to be treated. This probe transmits ultrasound frequencies that break up fat cells for removal from the body. Fat cells are then suctioned out of the body using a tube called a cannula.

Vaser® lipo uses ultra-sound assisted technologies to bring about patient transformation with a single treatment. Because there are a variety of tools in the Vaser® toolkit, patients can expect customized results* highlighting their best features during a treatment session. Local anesthesia and sedation are most commonly used during the procedure although some doctors may offer patients the option of general anesthetia under certain conditions.

The Vaser® Liposuction Difference

Vaser® liposuction uses ultrasound-assisted technologies to specifically target fat cells while leaving other nearby tissues healthy and intact. By targeting just fat cells in the body, Vaserlipo® treatments diminish downtime, bruising, and bleeding. Because Vaser® liposuction treatments are minimally invasive, the procedure can be performed in an outpatient setting such as a clinic or a hospital.

Recovery and Results

Recovery periods differ depending on how much fat was removed from the body, the area or areas of the body treated, and the overall health of the patient prior to surgery. Other factors may also affect the recovery period. Talk with your doctor about your procedure to find out how much time to set aside for recovery.

A number of patients can often see results* from their Vaser® liposuction treatment right away, but improvements continue to emerge over time for up to several months following treatment. Most patients see the final results* of their procedure within three to four months after surgery.

Treatable Areas of the Body

Vaser® liposuction can be used to treat different areas of the body from head to toe. The ultrasound energy that breaks up fat cells for removal creates less trauma on surrounding tissues making Vaser® liposuction an appropriate choice for delicate areas of the body such as the jowls, neck, or chin as well as the abs, hips, and buttocks.
